Joyce Benjamin holds a Masters in Nursing Degree from the University of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana, and is a 33-year veteran of the healthcare industry.  Ms. Benjamin worked as a clinician, educator, clinical nurse specialist, manager, and administrator prior to starting her own company as a healthcare consultant in January 2007. In 1995, Ms. Benjamin was responsible for developing and integrating a seamless service line for women and children at Scottsdale Healthcare in Scottsdale, Arizona, resulting in a state-of-the-art 96,365 square foot women’s facility. The Women’s Center at Scottsdale Healthcare Shea is a premier Women’s Center that is connected to a bed tower.  The Women’s Center includes:  Maternity services, Mother-Baby Couplet Care, High Risk Prenatal Services, a Level II EQ (Enhanced Quality) NICU, Lactation Services, Childcare Area, Wellness Spa and Salon, Resource Center, Diagnostic Area that includes Breast Health, Bone Health, Center for Uro-dynamics, Exam Rooms and an Education/Conference Center. Benjamin joined the strategic planning and architectural firm of NTDSTICHLER from November 2004 to December 2006 as a healthcare consultant.  In this capacity, she provided consultation on strategic planning, program development, and specialty services for women’s and children’s facilities, medical/surgical, critical care, and emergency department/trauma services.  In January 2007, she created her own consulting company, JLB & Associates.
